Cultural Industry Development Directorate

The Cultural Industry Development Directorate promotes, supports, regulates, and sustainably develops cultural and creative industries as drivers of economic growth, employment, and cultural preservation. It works to transform cultural resources, creativity, and indigenous skills into viable economic opportunities while safeguarding cultural identity and strengthening community livelihoods.

The Directorate develops and promotes sectors such as arts and crafts, music, film, drama, fashion, visual arts, literature, performing arts, digital content creation, and heritage-based enterprises. It supports product development, innovation, branding, and market access to enhance competitiveness at local, national, and international levels.

In addition, the Directorate provides capacity building, entrepreneurship support, and institutional development. It facilitates training, access to finance and workspaces, protects intellectual property rights, and promotes inclusive participation of youth, women, and marginalized groups to ensure sustainable and impact-oriented growth of the creative sector.
