Tourism Marketing and Promotion Directorate

The Tourism Marketing and Promotion Directorate is responsible for promoting the region’s cultural and natural tourism assets at national and international levels. It designs and implements strategic marketing campaigns to enhance visibility, competitiveness, and destination branding of the Somali Region.

The Directorate supports tourism zoning, prepares promotional materials, and ensures that publications reflect and protect the cultural values of society. It works with government institutions, private stakeholders, and communities to expand tourism markets and attract responsible investment.

Through coordinated promotion and partnership building, the Directorate aims to increase visitor numbers, strengthen destination image, and support long-term sustainable tourism growth. It also promotes digital tourism marketing initiatives and supports participation in tourism exhibitions, cultural festivals, and international promotion platforms.
